- 5 appointed by the governor - 2 owners or executive managers of interests owning and operating timberlands 
- 2 owner of farmlands interested in reforestation 
- 1 pulp and paper mill owner or executive manager 
- 1 owner or executive manager of interests manufacturing or treating poles, piling, posts, crossties, or veneer. 
 
- Ex-Officio – head of the department of forestry at Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College 
- Ex-Officio – secretary of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
